We always had poodles, my mother showed poodles, Labrador retrievers as well as other breeds. I partially grew up at dog shows and was lucky enough to be influenced and mentored by some of the best groomers and handlers in the business.

Shelly

I’ve always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. I knew I wanted to become a groomer after watching an old family friend who had their own pet store, grooming in the back. I got my foot in the door and never looked back. I’ve been grooming now for 34 years. It’s very rewarding! 

I like grooming a variety, but seniors are one of my favorites. I can’t resist most. They are just very special to me. 

I have 5 small dogs at home ranging from ages 9 to 15. (Monkey, Pappy, Rusty, Jack and Dusty) 

I’ve also volunteered my grooming services to MCAS and the SPCA; I was even in an episode on Animal Planet. 

In my free time I like to hike (especially the mountains of Colorado), road-trip, collect oddities/curiosities, attend concerts, attend horror conventions and recently took up painting. 

Kimmy

Kimmy is a Virginia native who moved to Texas in 2019 to pursue her career in dog grooming and reunite with her family. She worked in boarding facilities and veterinary clinics for 5 years before she began her grooming education online in April 2020 and took lessons with her mentor at Friend and Companion Grooming, completing her course in July 2020. She began to develop her unique style over time at her previous job and loves grooming dogs to look their very best, as well as developing relationships with their wonderful pet parents.

She loves all animals wholeheartedly, but her favorites are dachshunds and horses. Outside of grooming, she loves to raise exotic plants, draw, ride bikes, ride horses, and attend social events, especially where she can bring her two dachshunds. She is a big fan of tattoos, indie rock music, road trips, and the band Coheed and Cambria - who she sees in concert every chance she gets!

Ive always been in love with animals since I was a little girl growing up I really wanted to be apart of an amazing Veterinary hospital as one of their doctors ,well I got part of the dream correct but this time ima groomer. Grooming wasn’t something I thought I’d be interested in but now that I’ve been grooming 6 plus years it’s definitely my passion. I love my job and all the creatures that walk-in through the door.
